Your unit
deserves this.
Everything you need to keep her looking exactly the way she arrived — stunning, styled and ready.
01 — General Care
The basics that
make all the difference.
Every unit that leaves Ron's hands has been styled with intention. These steps will keep her looking that way long after she arrives.
Washing
Wash your unit every 8–10 wears or when product buildup is noticeable.
Use cold water only — never hot. Hot water breaks down the fibre and loosens the style.
Use a sulphate-free shampoo and work from root to tip gently — never scrub in circular motions.
Follow with a lightweight conditioner from mid-length to ends. Rinse thoroughly.
Drying
Always air dry your unit after washing. Place on a wig stand and allow to dry naturally.
If you must use heat, use a cool setting only and keep the dryer at least 6 inches from the hair.
Never wring or twist the unit to remove water — gently squeeze from root to tip with a microfibre towel.
Allow the unit to dry completely before styling or storing.
Styling
Your unit arrives pre-styled by Ron — you should not need to restyle it regularly.
To refresh the style, use a wide-tooth comb and work from ends to roots gently.
A light holding spray will help maintain the style between washes.
For premium fibre units — avoid direct heat unless the unit is labelled heat-safe.
Storage
Store your unit on a wig stand or mannequin head to maintain its shape.
Keep away from direct sunlight — prolonged exposure fades colour over time.
If storing in a box, place in a silk or satin bag first to prevent tangling and friction.
Store in a cool dry place — never in a bathroom where humidity can affect the fibre.
Wearing & Securing
Always apply your unit to a clean, dry scalp for the best hold.
Use wig grip bands or adjustable straps before any adhesive — this protects both your hairline and the lace.
If using glue or tape, use a skin-safe lace adhesive only and apply a thin layer — less is always more.
Remove adhesive carefully with a proper bond remover — never pull the lace.
Lifespan
With proper care a premium fibre unit can last 6–12 months with regular wear.
The biggest factors affecting lifespan are heat exposure, washing frequency and storage.
Signs it's time for a refresh: excessive tangling, loss of style definition, or fibre that no longer responds to light conditioning.
When in doubt — DM Ron. We'll always guide you. 🌸
02 — By Unit
Care specific to
your unit.
Every unit has its own personality. Select yours below for care instructions specific to you.
- StyleLong voluminous dark waves. The volume is the star — handle gently and avoid over-combing.
- DetanglingAlways detangle from ends first using a wide-tooth comb or your fingers. Never brush dry.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. Cool air only to maintain the wave pattern.
- Refresh TipScrunch with a small amount of curl-defining cream on the mid-lengths to revive the wave definition.
- StyleSame voluminous wave pattern as Caris — the blonde tones make colour care even more important.
- Colour CareAsh blonde is the most vulnerable to yellowing from sun exposure and product buildup. Use a purple-tinted conditioner occasionally to keep the tone cool and fresh.
- HeatPremium fibre — absolutely no direct heat. Blonde fibre is especially sensitive to heat damage and discolouration.
- Refresh TipSame as Caris — scrunch with a light curl cream. Avoid heavy products on the blonde tones as they can cause buildup and dullness.
- StyleBouncy honey gold bob. The bounce is everything — avoid weighing the ends down with heavy products.
- Colour CareWarm golden tones — protect from direct sun and chlorine which can alter the colour over time.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. The style is already set — trust it.
- Refresh TipUse a boar bristle brush lightly on the ends to restore the bounce and body between wears.
- StyleLong dark to caramel ombre body wave. The length means extra care — always secure before sleeping or working out.
- DetanglingSection the hair into 4 parts before detangling. Work slowly from ends to roots — never rush Mira.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. The ombre tones are especially vulnerable to heat damage.
- Refresh TipA light oil sheen spray from 12 inches away adds shine and tames any frizz on the caramel ends.
- StyleLong copper auburn body wave. That colour is the showstopper — protect it like it cost everything.
- Colour CareCopper and auburn tones are the most prone to fading — UV protection spray is your best friend.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. The colour will shift permanently under high heat.
- Refresh TipA colour-safe conditioner mist between washes keeps the copper tones vibrant and the waves defined.
- StyleBlack wavy unit — sleek, dark and effortlessly versatile. The dark colour is low maintenance but the wave pattern needs gentle handling.
- Colour CareJet black holds its colour well but can look dull without shine — a light gloss spray keeps her looking fresh and rich.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. The wave pattern is already perfected — leave it alone.
- Refresh TipA small amount of lightweight serum on the mid-lengths and ends will bring Liv back to life between washes instantly.
- StyleReddish brown long loose wavy unit. That warm tone paired with the loose wave movement is everything — preserve both with gentle care.
- Colour CareReddish brown tones are warm and rich but can fade to a flat brown without proper care. UV protection spray and colour-safe products are essential.
- HeatPremium fibre — no direct heat. The loose wave pattern will drop and lose definition permanently under heat.
- Refresh TipScrunch with a light wave-activating spray on the mid-lengths to refresh the loose wave pattern between wears. Less is more with Zara.

04 — FAQ
Questions she
always asks.
We recommend removing your unit before swimming or showering. Chlorine, salt water and prolonged moisture can break down the fibre, loosen the lace and affect the style significantly. If your unit gets wet unexpectedly, allow it to air dry completely on a wig stand before wearing again.
A good rule of thumb is every 8–10 wears or when you notice product buildup, a change in texture or the style not sitting the way it normally does. Over-washing is one of the most common ways to shorten a unit's lifespan — less is more.
Start by lightly spritzing the unit with a water and conditioner mix. Then section the hair and work through each section with a wide-tooth comb starting from the ends and working your way up slowly. Never force through a tangle — patience is everything. If the tangling is persistent it may be time for a wash and deep condition.
We strongly advise against colouring or toning premium fibre units. Unlike human hair, synthetic fibre does not respond to hair dye the same way and attempting to colour it can permanently damage the fibre beyond repair. If you love a specific colour, reach out to us — we may be able to source the right unit for you. 🌸
With proper care — correct washing, careful storage and minimal heat — a premium fibre unit can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months with regular wear. The single biggest factor is heat exposure. Keep her away from direct heat and she'll last significantly longer.
